Become a Volunteer and Join us to Preserve Our Cultural Heritage  

The Mongui Maduro Foundation is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to contribute to the preservation and promotion of our cultural and natural heritage. 

Join our Foundation at Landhuis Rooi Catootje, home to the Mongui Maduro Museum, the Mongui Maduro Library, and Hòfi Rooi Catootje. We invite you to become part of a team dedicated to sharing the stories, traditions, and treasures that connect us to our past. 

As a volunteer, you can assist with a variety of meaningful activities, including: 

  • Guiding and welcoming visitors through the museum and/or hòfi, sharing the history and significance of the estate 
  • Supporting cultural events and activities that celebrate our heritage 
  • Welcoming visitors to the library, including history enthusiasts, students, and researchers. Assisting researchers and students explore our Antilliana and Judaica collections and guiding them through available resources 

We welcome individuals with a passion for history, culture, nature, storytelling, and connecting with people. Knowledge of Papiamentu, English, Dutch, and/or Spanish is highly appreciated to help us welcome and guide a diverse audience. 

Volunteer hours are flexible, allowing you to contribute in a way that fits your schedule while becoming an important part of our mission to preserve and share our cultural heritage. All volunteers receive a small contribution towards travel expenses.
